In every facilities and estates operation, asset data plays a quiet but critical role. The ability to understand what equipment is installed, where it is located and what condition it’s in underpins maintenance planning, procurement decisions and compliance reporting. Yet most organisations struggle to keep their asset registers complete and up to date.

Records are often created manually during surveys, contractor visits or project handovers. The process is slow, inconsistent and prone to error. Over time, this creates a fragmented catalogue full of incomplete entries, duplicates and outdated information. The consequences are subtle but significant: reactive maintenance, unnecessary contractor call-outs, compliance exposure and inflated lifecycle costs.

We built assetsnap to tackle this problem at the source. Using an AI-enabled camera interface, assets can be captured quickly and accurately on-site — with key fields auto-populated and records instantly formatted for CMMS/CAFM systems. The result is faster surveys, cleaner data and more confident decision-making.
